Long before they had acrylic nails, Rita Hayworth had long nails. Despite being a dancer, falling sometimes, etc., she wasn’t deterred from the extra length, and her nails didn’t break.

Early in her career she didn’t wear nail polish but then she had red nails all the time. She was a redhead with long red nails; that was her signature glamour.
